First Airboat Ride

We took Adison for her very first airbat ride recently. I was a little afraid that she would be scared of all the noise, but she wasn't. She LOVED it!! We found a little sandy spot to stop for lunch. After we ate, we decided to take a dip in the river to cool off. She thought swimming was the best. She kept ducking her head under the water until she got water up her nose. After that, she just floated in her crabby. She had to wave at EVERY other boat that went by. She was asleep before we even made it back to the boat ramp. It was a really fun thing to experience with her. We're looking forward to going out again soon!

Happy Birthday, Adison!!

Adison's first birthday was Saturday. We had a party at the house for her with lots of friends and family. It was a perfect day!! She liked jumping in the bounce house with everyone. (Her version of jumping was sitting while others bounced her around.) I think her favorite part was the cake. At first she just looked at it not realizing that it was hers to tear into. It only took a few seconds for her to catch on that she was allowed to make a mess and dive in. She ate so much I thought she would be sick. It was such a memorable day. I can't believe my little girl is already a year old. Where did the time go?

I'm sooo Sleepy!!!

Adison was exhausted after a night at Granny's and a day of putting together her new swing set. Trust me, it is a rare thing for this girl to miss a meal!!

Fun at the Zoo

We took Adison to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa a couple of weekends ago. It was a beautiful day. We hadn't been to there in about 20 years, so we were surprised to see how big it was. There were tons of animals, lots of ride, and even a water park area. We only took in the animals when we went, but I think when Adison is a little older, we will try out the rest. My favorite part was feeding the giraffes. Adison liked the birds the most. I think Lance was most impressed with the hippos. It was exciting to watch Adison and know that she was really taking everything in. I can't wait to take her back!!

Easter 2009

Easter was alot of fun this year. Adison was still a little young to really understand what she was supposed to do. She did find a few eggs with her daddy's help. She figured out that some of the eggs had jelly beans in them. Jelly beans are her FAVORITE treat these days!! I can't wait until next year when she will be old enough to walk around and look for eggs on her own!

A Day on the Water

We took the boat out in Crystal River on Sunday. Granny and Pa went with us. At first, Adison didn't mind her life jacket, but she eventually grew tired of it. We finally gave in and let her ride for a little bit without it. She enjoyed the water at Shell Island. It was too cold for the grown-ups, but she didn't seem to notice. She was so worn out from the day that she took a 2 hour nap when we got home. It was a really nice day. I'm looking forward to many boat rides in the future now that I know Adison can handle them...

Bikini Babe

Adison played in her little pool for the first time this week. She had a great time. She kept trying to drink the water. Once she figured out she could crawl out, the "in and out" game started. Daddy even gave in and let her wear her bikini...
