Fun at the Zoo

We took Adison to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa a couple of weekends ago. It was a beautiful day. We hadn't been to there in about 20 years, so we were surprised to see how big it was. There were tons of animals, lots of ride, and even a water park area. We only took in the animals when we went, but I think when Adison is a little older, we will try out the rest. My favorite part was feeding the giraffes. Adison liked the birds the most. I think Lance was most impressed with the hippos. It was exciting to watch Adison and know that she was really taking everything in. I can't wait to take her back!!

Easter 2009

Easter was alot of fun this year. Adison was still a little young to really understand what she was supposed to do. She did find a few eggs with her daddy's help. She figured out that some of the eggs had jelly beans in them. Jelly beans are her FAVORITE treat these days!! I can't wait until next year when she will be old enough to walk around and look for eggs on her own!

A Day on the Water

We took the boat out in Crystal River on Sunday. Granny and Pa went with us. At first, Adison didn't mind her life jacket, but she eventually grew tired of it. We finally gave in and let her ride for a little bit without it. She enjoyed the water at Shell Island. It was too cold for the grown-ups, but she didn't seem to notice. She was so worn out from the day that she took a 2 hour nap when we got home. It was a really nice day. I'm looking forward to many boat rides in the future now that I know Adison can handle them...

Bikini Babe

Adison played in her little pool for the first time this week. She had a great time. She kept trying to drink the water. Once she figured out she could crawl out, the "in and out" game started. Daddy even gave in and let her wear her bikini...

Family Fun Day

We went to the Lake Ridge Winery in Clermont on Saturday for their annual Family Fun Day. We met Uncle Jamie, Aunt Jenny, Shanon, & Mikey. It was a really fun day. There were craft booths set up selling everything from hand knitted dish towel holders to orchids. There was also a tour and a wine tasting. The best part was the band. Everything was outside, so we spent most of the day in the grass watching Adison "dance". She had a great time watching everyone and playing with the other kids. It was beautiful weather for an outdoor event. It was nice getting togther with everyone. I wish we could find time in all of our busy lives to do it a little more often!

Rope Swing Fun

Adison's new favorite thing to do with Daddy is play on the rope swing in our back yard. They play every afternoon when Daddy gets home from work. She really does get a good grip on it. I swear, that girl isn't afraid of anything!! She likes it when Lance pushes her high. He holds onto to her, of course, but she thinks she is doing it by herself. I'm afraid we may have a little dare devil on our hands.

Big Girl Bath

Adison took her first big-girl bath last night. I was a little nervous that the size of the tub and all of the water would be a little too overwhelming for her. Boy, was I wrong!! She loved it! She discovered pretty quickly that she could make BIG splashes in the big tub. She would splash and then laugh really loud. It was really fun to watch!
