Adison started crawling last Sunday. She didn't really understand what she was doing at first, but she knew she liked the applause she was getting from mommy and daddy. (We may have gone a little overboard as the cheering section.) After just a couple of days, she had really gotten the hang of it. I still think she looks funny crawling around. She is so small, but she gets her little arms and legs going a mile a minute. It's already clear that the dog food will have to find a new home for a while. Besides that, she hasn't gone after too much. I'm sure that will all change in no time. I really can't believe our little lady is getting around on her own. Where did the time go??
(Check back for a video clip. I'm still trying to figure that out.)

Yep, We're still here...

I realize it has been a while since I have posted anything. I would like to say that I have had so much going on that I just haven't had the time. Truth is, I haven't been doing much of anything, but the days seem to be going by faster and faster. Adsion is now nearing 9 months old and has decided that if I am out of her sight, she needs to throw a fit. As a mom, it melts my heart to hear her cry, so I drop whatever I am doing and get her when it starts. I know it is a bad thing, but I just can't help it. She still isn't crawling yet, but she is getting pretty darn close. Her left leg always seems to get stuck in front of her. She'll get frustrated and then just roll to wherever it is she wants to be. It's pretty funny. In the last couple of days, she has realized that she has something in her hair. Now, every bow that I stick in, she yanks it out in a matter of seconds. It wouldn't be a big deal, but she has hair hanging in her eyes constantly. I guess I was lucky to get 8 months of good hair days before she figured it out. Along with the hair bows, she has developed a desire to shed herself of her socks while she is in her carseat. When we get to our destination, I have to crawl in the back of the car, find her socks, put them back on, and apologize in advance for her shaggy hair. It's a new adventure every day!
Lance is staying busy with work. The mower shop is really starting to take off. I still feel so fortunate to be able to stay home with Adison and not have to go back to school just yet. With Lance owning his own business, it's nice to be able to take her up to see him during the day. We've decided that I'm going to take at least one more year off from teaching to be home with Adison. For us, it makes the most sense. I know we won't regret it later down the road.
I guess that is all for now. I am back on track with this thing, so expect another posting soon...
